Chap. CLII.— An Act for the Relief of Charles W. Carroll. March 2, 1855. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That there be, and there isCharles Carroll to be paid hereby, appropriated the sum of five thousand dollars, to be paid to Charles W. Carroll, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, as compensation and damages for injuries sustained by him by reason of his wrongful arrest and imprisonment as a deserter from the army of the United States. Approved, March 2, 1855.
