Chap. C.— An Act *for the Relief of Mrs. Mary A. Davis, Widow of Daniel W. Davis.* August 30, 1852. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of Mrs. Mary A. Davis to be paid $254.00.the Treasury be, and he is hereby directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mrs. Mary A. Davis, widow of the late Daniel W. Davis, the sum of two hundred and fifty-four dollars, being the amount paid by her to employ a subs[t]itute for her late husband during his illness, and while he was a clerk in the paymaster’s department. Approved, August 30, 1852.
