Chap. XXIV.— An Act *supplementary to the act concerning Invalids.*Feb. 21, 1795. Section 1. [Obsolete.]*Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the right, Right to pension, when to commence.any person now has, or may hereafter acquire, to receive a pension, by virtue of the act passed on the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-three, intituled “An act to regulate the 1793, ch. 17.claims to invalid pensions,” be considered to commence at the time of completing his testimony before the district judge, or commissioners, pursuant to the said act :
And nothing shall be allowed to any invalid No arrears.of the description aforesaid, by way of arrear of pension, antecedent to Pension how long to continue.the date of his completing his testimony as aforesaid : And the pensions allowed under the said act shall be continued to the respective pensioners, during the continuance of their disability. Sec. 2. Officers to return commutation.*And be it further enacted,* That no commissioned officer, who has received commutation of half pay, shall be paid a pension, as an invalid, until he shall return his commutation into the treasury of the United States; except where special provision has been made, in particular cases, for allowing pensions on the return only of certain portions of the commutation.
