Chap. XVI.— An Act *in addition to, and alteration of the Act, entitled “An Act to extend the time limited for settling the Accounts of the United States with the individual States.”*Feb. 27, 1793. Section 1. Second sec. of act extending powers of the board of commissioners repealed.*Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the second section of the act, entitled “An act to extend the time limited for settling the accounts of the United States with the individual States,” which extended the powers of the board of commissioners to the settlement 1792, ch. 5.of the accounts between the United States and the state of Vermont, be and hereby is repealed.
Sec. 2. Vermont not to be regarded in apportioning balances,*And be it further enacted,* That the board of commissioners established to settle the accounts between the United States and the individual states, in apportioning the aggregate of all the balances due to each state, between the states, agreeably to the act, entitled “An act to provide more effectually for the settlement of the accounts between the United States and the individual states,” shall have no regard to the state of Vermont.
Sec. 3. and Kentucky to be included with Virginia.*And be it further enacted,* That in the apportioning of the balances aforesaid, the state of Kentucky shall be deemed to be included in the state of Virginia, the admission of the said state of Kentucky as a member of the Union notwithstanding.
