Chap. VIII.— An Act *to ascertain the time for the next meeting of Congress, and to repeal the act heretofore passed for that purpose.*July 1, 1797. Section 1. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,*Congress to meet second Monday in Nov. 1797. That after the end of the present session, the next meeting of Congress shall be on the second Monday of November in the present year. Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That the act intituled “An actAnte, p. 507.FIFTH CONGRESS.
Sess. I. Ch. 9. 1797.526 to alter the time for the next meeting of Congress,” passed on the third day of March last, be, and the same is hereby repealed. Approved, July 1, 1797.
