Chap. III.— An Act *to augment the Compensation of the Attorney General of the United States.*March 2, 1797.[Obsolete.] *Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,*Compensation to Attorney General. That the compensation allowed by law to the Attorney General of the United States, shall be, and the same is hereby augmented, by an addition of the sum ofAnte, p. 72. five hundred dollars per annum, to commence on the first day of January, in the present year, and payable quarter-yearly, at the public treasury. Approved, March 2, 1797.
