## SEC. 716 PROTECTION AGAINST INTENTIONAL ADULTERATION Section 303(b) (21 U.S.C. 333(b)) is amended by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(7) > > Notwithstanding subsection (a)(2), any person that knowingly and intentionally adulterates a drug such that the drug is adulterated under subsection (a)(1), (b), (c), or
(d)of section 501 and has a reasonable probability of causing serious adverse health consequences or death to humans or animals shall be imprisoned for not more than 20 years or fined not more than $1,000,000, or both.” > .
