## SEC. 12 PARTICIPATION IN INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGS Section 21A of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78u-1), as amended by this Act, is further amended by adding at the end the following: > > ### “(i) Participation in Initial Public Offerings > > An individual described in section 101(f) of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 may not purchase securities that are the subject of an initial public offering (within the meaning given such term in section 12(f)(1)(G)(i)) in any manner other than is available to members of the public generally.” > .
