## SEC. 263 REIMBURSEMENT RATE FOR AMBULANCE SERVICES Section 111(b)(3) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: > > ###### “(C) > > In the case of transportation of a person under subparagraph
(B)by ambulance, the Secretary may pay the provider of the transportation the lesser of the actual charge for the transportation or the amount determined by the fee schedule established under section 1834(l) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395(l)) unless the Secretary has entered into a contract for that transportation with the provider.” > .
