## SEC. 5308 ADVANCED NURSING EDUCATION GRANTS Section 811 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 296j) is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (c)— #####
(A)in the subsection heading, by striking “and Nurse Midwifery Programs”; and #####
(B)by striking “and nurse midwifery”; ####
(2)in subsection (f)— #####
(A)by striking paragraph (2); and #####
(B)by redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (2); and ####
(3)by redesignating subsections (d), (e), and
(f)as subsections (e), (f), and (g), respectively; and ####
(4)by inserting after subsection (c), the following: > > ### “(d) Authorized Nurse-Midwifery Programs > > Midwifery programs that are eligible for support under this section are educational programs that— > > > #### “(1) > > have as their objective the education of midwives; and > > > #### “(2) > > are accredited by the American College of Nurse-Midwives Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education.” > .
