## SEC. 1255 EFFECTIVE DATES **[**[42 U.S.C. 300gg note](/us/usc/t42/s300gg)**]** This subtitle (and the amendments made by this subtitle) shall become effective for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2014, except that— ####
(1)section 1251 shall take effect on the date of enactment of this Act; and ####
(2)the provisions of section 2704 of the Public Health Service Act (as amended by section 1201), as they apply to enrollees who are under 19 years of age, shall become effective for plan years beginning on or after the date that is 6 months after the date of enactment of this Act. ## Subtitle D Available Coverage Choices for All Americans ### PART 1 ESTABLISHMENT OF QUALIFIED HEALTH PLANS
