## SEC. 737 COMPLIANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS **[**[49 U.S.C. 47106 note](/us/usc/t49/s47106)**]** Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of expense and effort, the Secretary may authorize the use, in whole or in part, of a completed environmental assessment or environmental impact study for new construction projects on the air operations area of an airport, if the completed assessment or study was for a project at the airport that is substantially similar in nature to the new project. Any such authorized use shall meet all requirements of Federal law for the completion of such an assessment or study. * * * * * * *
