## Sec. 101 establishment of the congressional award board There is established a board to be known as the Congressional Award Board (hereinafter in this title1 referred to as the “Board”), which shall be responsible for administering the Congressional Award Program described under section 102 of this title1. The Board shall not be an agency or instrumentality of the United States, and the United States is not liable for any obligation or liability incurred by the Board. 1Section 1(b)(3)(A) of Public Law 106–533 (114 Stat. 2553) amended this section as follows: ``(3) in section 101 (as so redesignated)— ``(A) by striking `Act' and inserting `title'; and'' The amendment was carried out in both places the term “**Act**” appeared to reflect the probable intent of Congress. **[**[2 U.S.C. 801](/us/usc/t2/s801)**]**
