## Sec. 423 reduction of paperwork In order to reduce unnecessary, duplicative, or disruptive demands for information, the Director, in consultation with other appropriate agencies and organizations, shall continually review and evaluate all requests for information made under this Act and take such action as may be necessary to reduce the paper work required under this Act. The Director shall request only such information as the Director deems essential to carry out the purposes and provisions of this Act. **[**[42 U.S.C. 5063](/us/usc/t42/s5063)**]**
