## SEC. 105 PROMOTING STATE CHOICE IN PDMP SYSTEMS Section 399O(h) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 280g-3(h)) is amended by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(5) Promoting state choice > > Nothing in this section shall be construed to authorize the Secretary to require States to use a specific vendor or a specific interoperability connection other than to align with nationally recognized, consensus-based open standards, such as in accordance with sections 3001 and 3004.” > .
