## SEC. 224 MODIFICATION TO INNOVATORS INFORMATION REPOSITORY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE Section 220 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115–232; 10 U.S.C. 4061 note prec.) is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (a), by inserting “Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office, the Defense Innovation Unit, and the” before “Defense Technical Information Center”; ####
(2)in subsection (b), by inserting “in accordance with subsection (e)” before the period at the end; ####
(3)in subsection (c)— #####
(A)by amending paragraph
(1)to read as follows: > > #### “(1) > > be coordinated across the Department of Defense to focus on small business concerns (as defined in section 3 of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 632), including— > > > ##### “(A) > > participants in the Small Business Innovation Research Program or the Small Business Technology Transfer Program established under section 9 of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 638); > > > ##### “(B) > > participants in the pilot program established under section 834 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 or the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve of the Department of Defense; and > > > ##### “(C) > > small business concerns that are nontraditional defense contractors (as defined in section 3014 of title 10, United States Code) that work with research, innovation, and advanced project entities;” > ; and #####
(B)in paragraph (2)— ######
(i)in subparagraph (C), by striking “and” at the end; ######
(ii)in subparagraph (D), by striking “and” at the end; and ######

(4)by adding at the end the following new subsection: > > ### “(e) Updates Required > > Not less frequently than once each fiscal quarter and subject to the availability of appropriations, the head of the Defense Technical Information Center, in coordination with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, shall update the innovators information repository established under this section.” > .
