## SEC. 2250 ESTABLISHMENT OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL COMMISSION ###
(a)Establishment Section 15301(a) of title 40, United States Code (as amended by section 2249(a)), is amended by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(6) > > The Southern New England Regional Commission.” > . ###
(b)Designation of Region ####
(1)In general Subchapter II of chapter 157 of title 40, United States Code (as amended by section 2249(b)(1)), is amended by adding at the end the following: > > ## “SEC. 15736 Southern New England Regional Commission > > **[**[40 U.S.C. 15736](/us/usc/t40/s15736)**]** > > “The region of the Southern New England Regional Commission shall include the following counties: > > > #### “(1) Rhode island > > Each county in the State of Rhode Island. > > > #### “(2) Connecticut > > The counties of Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland, and Windham in the State of Connecticut. > > > #### “(3) Massachusetts > > Each county in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.” > . ####
(2)Clerical amendment The analysis for subchapter II of chapter 157 of title 40, United States Code (as amended by section 2249(b)(2)), is amended by adding at the end the following:" “15736. Southern New England Regional Commission.” ". ###
(c)Application Section 15702(c)(3) of title 40, United States Code (as amended by section 2249(c)), is amended— ####
(1)by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; ####
(2)by striking “ to a county ” and inserting the following: > “to— > > > ##### “(A) > > a county” > ; and ####
(3)by adding at the end the following: > > ##### “(B) > > the Southern New England Regional Commission.” > .
