## SEC. 1226 KANAWHA RIVER BASIN Section 1207 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2016 (130 Stat. 1686) is amended— ####
(1)by striking “ The Secretary shall ” and inserting the following: > > ### “(a) In General > > The Secretary shall” > ; and ####
(2)by adding at the end the following: > > ### “(b) Projects and Separable Elements > > For an authorized project or a separable element of an authorized project that is recommended as a result of a study carried out by the Secretary under subsection
(a)benefitting an economically disadvantaged community (as defined by the Secretary under section 160 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2020 (33 U.S.C. 2201 note)) in the State of West Virginia, the non-Federal share of the cost of the project or separable element of a project shall be 10 percent.” > .
