## SEC. 707 AUTHORITY TO EXPAND THE TRICARE COMPETITIVE PLANS DEMONSTRATION PROJECT **[**[10 U.S.C. 1073a note](/us/usc/t10/s1073a)**]** ###
(a)Authority To the extent practicable, the Secretary of Defense shall seek to expand the TRICARE Competitive Plans Demonstration Project to not fewer than five locations not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act. ###
(b)TRICARE Competitive Plans Demonstration Project Defined In this section, the term “TRICARE Competitive Plans Demonstration Project” means the project designed to test the contract acquisition strategy of providing an opportunity for local, regional, and national health plans to participate in the competition for managed care support functions under the TRICARE program, in accordance with section 705(c)(3) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (Public Law 114-328; 10 U.S.C. 1073a note). ## Subtitle B Health Care Administration
