## SEC. 529C REQUIREMENT TO BASE MILITARY ACCESSIONS AND PROMOTIONS ON MERIT AND PERFORMANCE ###
(a)Merit Requirement A military accession , promotion, or command selection in the Department of Defense shall be based on individual merit and demonstrated performance. ###
(b)Regulations The Secretary of Defense shall prescribe regulations to carry out this section not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act. ## Subtitle D Military Justice and Other Legal Matters
