## SEC. 1412 AUTHORITY TO DISPOSE OF MATERIALS FROM THE NATIONAL DEFENSE STOCKPILE **[**[50 U.S.C. 98d note](/us/usc/t50/s98d)**]** Pursuant to section 5(b) of the Strategic and Critical Materials Stock Piling Act (50 U.S.C. 98d(b)), the National Defense Stockpile Manager may dispose of the following materials contained in the National Defense Stockpile in the following quantities: ####
(1)8 short tons of beryllium. ####
(2)154,043 short dry tons of metallurgical grade manganese ore. ####
(3)5,000 kilograms of germanium. ####
(4)91,413 pounds of pan-based carbon fibers. ####
(5)Not more than 1,000 short tons of materials transferred from another department or agency of the United States to the National Defense Stockpile under section 4(b) of such Act (50 U.S.C. 98c(b)) that the National Defense Stockpile Manager determines is no longer required for the Stockpile (in addition to any amount of such materials previously authorized for disposal).
