## SEC. 8358 COPAN LAKE, OKLAHOMA ###
(a)In General The Secretary shall amend the contract described in subsection
(c)between the United States and the Copan Public Works Authority, relating to the use of storage space for water supply in Copan Lake, Oklahoma, to— ####
(1)release to the United States all rights of the Copan Public Works Authority to utilize 4,750 acre-feet of future use water storage space; and ####
(2)relieve the Copan Public Works Authority from all financial obligations, to include the initial project investment costs and the accumulated interest on unpaid project investment costs, for the volume of water storage space described in paragraph (1). ###
(b)Requirement During the 2-year period beginning on the effective date of the contract amendment under subsection (a), the Secretary shall— ####
(1)provide the City of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, with the right of first refusal to contract for the utilization of storage space for water supply for any portion of the storage space that was released by the Authority under subsection (a); and ####
(2)ensure that the City of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, for the acre-feet of storage space being sought under an agreement under paragraph (1), shall pay 110 percent of the contractual rate per acre-foot of storage in the most recent agreement of the City for water supply storage space at the project. ###
(c)Contract Described The contract referred to in subsection
(a)is the contract between the United States and the Copan Public Works Authority for the use of storage space for water supply in Copan Lake, Oklahoma, entered into on June 22, 1981, and titled Contract DACW56-81-C-0114.
