## SEC. 8142 FORECASTING MODELS FOR THE GREAT LAKES ###
(a)Authorization There is authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary $10,000,000 to complete and maintain a model suite to forecast water levels, account for water level variability, and account for the impacts of extreme weather events and other natural disasters in the Great Lakes. ###
(b)Savings Provision Nothing in this section precludes the Secretary from using funds made available pursuant to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative established by section 118(c)(7) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1268(c)(7)) for activities described in subsection
(a)for the Great Lakes, in addition to carrying out activities under this section.
