## SEC. 514 INSPECTIONS OF THE NATIONAL GUARD ###
(a)Element Subsection
(a)of section 105 of title 32, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in paragraph (6), by striking “; and” and inserting a semicolon; ####
(2)in paragraph (7), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and ####
(3)by adding at the end the following new paragraph: > > #### “(8) > > the units and members of the Army National Guard or Air National Guard comply with Federal law and policy applicable to the National Guard, including policies issued by the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of the military department concerned, or the Chief of the National Guard Bureau.” > . ###
(b)Report Not later than six months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives a report on the implementation of paragraph
(8)of such subsection, as added by subsection (a). Such report shall include the following: ####
(1)The number of inspections conducted that included determinations under such paragraph. ####
(2)With regard to each such inspection— #####
(A)the date; #####
(B)the unit of the Army National Guard or the Air National Guard inspected; #####
(C)the officer who conducted such inspection; and #####
(D)the determination of the officer whether the unit was in compliance with Federal law and policy applicable to the National Guard.
