## SEC. 3514 SERVICE ACADEMY FACULTY PARITY OF USE OF UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT WORKS Section 105 of title 17, United States Code, is amended— ####

(1)in the heading of subsection (b), by striking “Certain of Works ” and inserting “Certain Works”; ####

(2)in the first subsection

(c)(relating to “Use by Federal Government”) by striking “The Secretary of Defense” and inserting “A covered Secretary”; ####

(3)by redesignating the second subsection

(c)(relating to “Definitions”) as subsection (d); and ####

(4)in subsection (d), as redesignated by paragraph (3), #####

(A)in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following: > > ##### “(M) > > United States Merchant Marine Academy.” > ; #####

(B)by redesignating paragraph

(3)as paragraph (4); and #####

(C)by inserting after paragraph

(2)the following new paragraph: > > #### “(3) > > The term ‘covered Secretary’ means— > > > ##### “(A) > > the Secretary of Transportation, with respect to the United States Merchant Marine Academy; > > > ##### “(B) > > the Secretary of Homeland Security, with respect to the United States Coast Guard Academy; or > > > ##### “(C) > > the Secretary of Defense, with respect to any other covered institution under paragraph (2).” > .
