## SEC. 1232 EXTENSION OF AUTHORITY TO SUPPORT OPERATIONS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE OFFICE OF SECURITY COOPERATION IN IRAQ ###
(a)Source of Funds Subsection
(d)of section 1215 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Public Law 114-92; 129 Stat. 1045; 10 U.S.C. 113 note) is amended by striking “fiscal year 2022” and inserting “fiscal year 2023”. ###
(b)Limitation on Availability of Funds Of the amounts authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2023 for the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for travel expenses, not more than 90 percent may be obligated or expended until the date on which a staffing plan for the Office of Security Cooperation in Iraq is implemented. ###
(c)Waiver The Secretary of Defense may waive the restriction on the obligation or expenditure of funds imposed by subsection
(b)if the Secretary of Defense determines that implementation of such a staffing plan is not feasible and submits to the congressional defense committees, at the time the waiver is invoked, a notification of the waiver that includes a justification detailing the reasons for which such a plan cannot be implemented.
