## SEC. 11258 CONVEYANCE OF COAST GUARD VESSELS FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES ###
(a)Transfer **[**[14 U.S.C. 510](/us/usc/t14/s510)**]** Section 914 of the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2010 (14 U.S.C. 501 note; Public Law 111-281) is— ####
(1)transferred to subchapter I of chapter 5 of title 14, United States Code; ####
(2)added at the end so as to follow section 509 of such title, as added by this Act; ####
(3)redesignated as section 510 of such title; and ####
(4)amended so that the enumerator, the section heading, typeface, and typestyle conform to those appearing in other sections of title 14, United States Code. ###
(b)Clerical Amendments ####
(1)Coast guard authorization act of 2010 The table of contents in section 1(b) of the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2010 (Public Law 111-281) is amended by striking the item relating to section 914. ####
(2)Title 14 The analysis for subchapter I of chapter 5 of title 14, United States Code, is further amended by adding at the end the following:" “510. Conveyance of Coast Guard vessels for public purposes.” ". ###
(c)Conveyance of Coast Guard Vessels for Public Purposes Section 510 of title 14, United States Code, as transferred and redesignated by subsection (a), is amended— ####
(1)by amending subsection
(a)to read as follows: > > ### “(a) In General > > On request by the Commandant, the Administrator of the General Services Administration may transfer ownership of a Coast Guard vessel or aircraft to an eligible entity for educational, cultural, historical, charitable, recreational, or other public purposes if such transfer is authorized by law.” > ; and ####
(2)in subsection (b)— #####
(A)in paragraph (1)— ######
(i)by inserting “as if the request were being processed” after “vessels”; and ######
(ii)by inserting “, as in effect on the date of the enactment of the Don Young Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2022” after “Code of Federal Regulations”; #####
(B)in paragraph
(2)by inserting “, as in effect on the date of the enactment of the Don Young Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2022” after “such title”; and #####
(C)in paragraph
(3)by striking “of the Coast Guard”.
