## SEC. 1047 INTRODUCTION OF ENTITIES IN TRANSACTIONS CRITICAL TO NATIONAL SECURITY **[**[10 U.S.C. 113 note](/us/usc/t10/s113)**]** ###
(a)In General The Secretary of Defense shall facilitate the introduction of entities for the purpose of discussing a covered transaction that the Secretary has determined is in the national security interests of the United States. ###
(b)Covered Transaction Defined The term “covered transaction” means a transaction that the Secretary has reason to believe would likely involve an entity affiliated with a strategic competitor unless an alternative transaction were to occur.
