## SEC. 1033 MODIFICATION AND EXTENSION OF PROHIBITION ON USE OF FUNDS FOR TRANSFER OR RELEASE OF INDIVIDUALS DETAINED AT UNITED STATES NAVAL STATION, GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA, TO CERTAIN COUNTRIES Section 1035 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115-232; 132 Stat. 1954), as most recently amended by section 1032 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (Public Law 117-81; 135 Stat. 1901), is further amended— ####
(1)by striking “December 31, 2022” and inserting “December 31, 2023”; ####
(2)by redesignating paragraphs
(1)through
(4)as paragraphs
(2)through (5), respectively; and ####
(3)by inserting before paragraph (2), as so redesignated, the following new paragraph: > > #### “(1) > > Afghanistan.” > .
