## SEC. 124 ###
(a)Of the remaining unobligated balances, as of September 30, 2022, from amounts provided under the heading “Afghanistan Security Forces Fund” in title IX of division C of Public Law 116-260, $100,000,000 is hereby permanently rescinded, and in addition to amounts otherwise provided by section 101, an amount of additional new budget authority equivalent to the amount rescinded pursuant to this subsection is hereby appropriated on September 30, 2022, for an additional amount for fiscal year 2022, to remain available until September 30, 2025, for the same purposes and under the same authorities provided under such heading in Public Law 116-260, in addition to other funds as may be available for such purposes. ###
(b)####
(1)Subject to paragraph (2), this section shall become effective immediately upon enactment of this Act. ####
(2)If this Act is enacted after September 30, 2022, this section shall be applied as if it were in effect on September 30, 2022.
