## SEC. 10255 AMENDMENT TO THE HOLLINGS MANUFACTURING EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP RELATING TO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION Subsection
(a)of section 25 of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Act (15 U.S.C. 278k) is amended— ####
(1)by redesignating paragraph
(6)(relating to the definition of “Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership or Program”) as paragraph (7); ####
(2)by inserting after paragraph
(5)the following new paragraph: > > #### “(6) Historically black college and university > > The term ‘historically Black college and university’ has the meaning given the term ‘part B institution’ in section 322 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1061).” > ; ####
(3)by redesignating the second paragraph
(7)(relating to the definition of “MEP Advisory Board”) as paragraph (8); ####
(4)by inserting after paragraph
(6)(as inserted by paragraph (2), relating to the definition of “ historically Black college and university ”) the following new paragraph: > > #### “(7) Institution of higher education > > The term ‘institution of higher education’ has the meaning given such term in section 101 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1001).” > ; and ####
(5)by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: > > #### “(9) Minority-serving institution > > The term ‘minority-serving institution’ means a Hispanic-serving institution as defined in section 502(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1101a(a)); an Alaska Native-serving institution or Native Hawaiian-serving institution as defined in section 317(b) of such Act (20 U.S.C. 1059d(b)); or a Predominantly Black institution, Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-serving institution, or Native American-serving nontribal institution as defined in section 371(c) of such Act (20 U.S.C. 1067q(c)). > > > #### “(10) Secondary school > > The term ‘secondary school’ has the meaning given such term in section 8101 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7801). > > > #### “(11) Tribal college or university > > The term ‘Tribal College or University’ has the meaning given the term ‘Tribal College or University’ in section 316 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1059c).” > . ## Subtitle E Manufacturing USA Program
