## SEC. 4 USE OF PROFESSIONAL JUDGMENT **[**[20 U.S.C. 1098dd](/us/usc/t20/s1098dd)**]** A financial aid administrator shall be considered to be making a necessary adjustment in accordance with section 479A(a) of the Act if the administrator makes adjustments with respect to the calculation of the expected student or parent contribution (or both) of an affected individual, and adequately documents the need for the adjustment.
