## SEC. 1087 AUTHORIZATION FOR MEMORIAL FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES KILLED IN ATTACK ON HAMID KARZAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT **[**[40 U.S.C. 8903 note](/us/usc/t40/s8903)**]** The Secretary of Defense shall, not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, establish a commemorative work on Federal land owned by the Department of Defense in the District of Columbia and its environs to commemorate the 13 members of the Armed Forces who died in the bombing attack on Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021.
