## SEC. 25025 DRUG-IMPAIRED DRIVING DATA COLLECTION Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary, in consultation with the heads of appropriate Federal agencies, State highway safety offices, State toxicologists, traffic safety advocates, and other interested parties, shall submit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives a report that, in accordance with the document entitled “Recommendations for Toxicological Investigations of Drug-Impaired Driving and Motor Vehicle Fatalities—2017 Update” (and subsequent updates to that document)— ####
(1)identifies any barriers that States encounter in submitting alcohol and drug toxicology results to the Fatality Analysis Reporting System; ####
(2)provides recommendations on how to address the barriers identified pursuant to paragraph (1); and ####
(3)describes steps that the Secretary, acting through the Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, will take to assist States in improving— #####
(A)toxicology testing in cases of motor vehicle crashes; and #####
(B)the reporting of alcohol and drug toxicology results in cases of motor vehicle crashes.
