## SEC. 22102 FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION ###
(a)Safety and Operations There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for the operations of the Federal Railroad Administration and to carry out railroad safety activities the following amounts: ####
(1)For fiscal year 2022, $248,000,000. ####
(2)For fiscal year 2023, $254,000,000. ####
(3)For fiscal year 2024, $263,000,000. ####
(4)For fiscal year 2025, $271,000,000. ####
(5)For fiscal year 2026, $279,000,000. ###
(b)Railroad Research and Development There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for the use of the Federal Railroad Administration for activities associated with railroad research and development the following amounts: ####
(1)For fiscal year 2022, $43,000,000. ####
(2)For fiscal year 2023, $44,000,000. ####
(3)For fiscal year 2024, $45,000,000. ####
(4)For fiscal year 2025, $46,000,000. ####
(5)For fiscal year 2026, $47,000,000. ###
(c)Transportation Technology Center The Secretary may withhold up to $3,000,000 from the amount appropriated for each fiscal year pursuant to subsection
(b)for activities authorized under section 20108(d) of title 49, United States Code. ###
(d)Rail Research and Development Center of Excellence The Secretary may withhold up to 10 percent of the amount appropriated for each fiscal year under subsection
(b)for grants authorized under section 20108(j) of title 49, United States Code.
