## SEC. 844 EXPANSION ON THE PROHIBITION ON ACQUIRING CERTAIN METAL PRODUCTS ###
(a)In General Section 4872 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (a)— #####
(A)in paragraph (1), by striking “; or” and inserting a semicolon; #####
(B)in paragraph (2)(B), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; and #####
(C)by adding at the end the following new paragraph: > > #### “(3) > > enter into a contract for any covered material mined, refined, or separated in any covered nation.” > ; and ####
(2)in subsection (c)(3)(A)(i), by striking “tungsten” and inserting “covered material”. ###
(b)Effective Date **[**[10 U.S.C. 2533c note](/us/usc/t10/s2533c)**]** The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the date that is 6 years after the date of the enactment of this Act.
