## SEC. 1644 EXTENSION OF REQUIREMENT FOR COMPTROLLER GENERAL REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT OF MISSILE DEFENSE ACQUISITION PROGRAMS Section 232(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Public Law 112-81; 125 Stat. 1339), as amended by section 1688 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (Public Law 114-92; 129 Stat. 1144), is amended— ####
(1)in paragraph (1), by striking “through 2020” and inserting “through 2025”; ####
(2)in paragraph (2)— #####
(A)by striking “through 2021” and inserting “through 2026”; and #####
(B)by striking “year. Each” and all that follows through “appropriate.” and inserting the following: “year, which shall include such findings and recommendations as the Comptroller General considers appropriate.”; and ####
(3)by adding at the end the following new paragraph: > > #### “(3) Review of emerging issues > > In carrying out this subsection, as the Comptroller General determines is warranted, the Comptroller General shall review emerging issues and, in consultation with the congressional defense committees, brief such committees or submit to such committees a report on the findings of the Comptroller General with respect to such review.” > .
