## Sec. 228 Statute of Limitations Except for a capital offense, no individual or person shall be prosecuted, tried, or punished for any offense prescribed or defined in sections 224 to 226, inclusive, of this Act, unless the indictment is found or the information is instituted within ten years next after such offense shall have been committed. **[**[42 U.S.C. 2278](/us/usc/t42/s2278)**]**
