## SEC. 10 UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY AND UNITED STATES BUREAU OF MINES ###
(a)United States Geological Survey **[**[43 U.S.C. 31 note](/us/usc/t43/s31)**]** The Geological Survey established by the Act of March 3, 1879 (43 U.S.C. 31(a)), is designated as and shall hereafter be known as the United States Geological Survey. ###
(b)United States Bureau of Mines **[**[30 U.S.C. 1 note](/us/usc/t30/s1)**]** The Bureau of Mines established by the Act of May 16, 1910 (30 U.S.C. 1), is designated as and shall hereafter be known as the United States Bureau of Mines.
