## SEC. 906 EXCLUSION FROM LIMITATIONS ON PERSONNEL IN THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE AND DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HEADQUARTERS OF FELLOWS APPOINTED UNDER THE JOHN S. MCCAIN DEFENSE FELLOWS PROGRAM Section 932(f)(3) of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115-232; 132 Stat. 1938; 10 U.S.C. 1580 note prec.) is amended by adding at the end the following new sentence: “An individual appointed pursuant to this paragraph shall not count against the limitation on the number of Office of the Secretary of Defense personnel in section 143 of title 10, United States Code, or any similar limitation in law on the number of personnel in headquarters of the Department that would otherwise apply to the office or headquarters to which appointed.”. ## Subtitle B Organization and Management of Other Department of Defense Offices and Elements
