## SEC. 621 EXPANSION OF ELIGIBILITY FOR EXCEPTIONAL TRANSITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR DEPENDENTS TO DEPENDENTS OF CURRENT MEMBERS Section 1059(m) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in the subsection heading, by inserting “Members or” after “Dependents of”; ####
(2)by inserting “member or” before “former member” each place it appears; ####
(3)by redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (4); and ####
(4)by inserting after paragraph
(2)the following new paragraph (3): > > #### “(3) > > For purposes of the provision of benefits under this section pursuant to this subsection, a member shall be considered separated from active duty upon the earliest of— > > > ##### “(A) > > the date an administrative separation is initiated by a commander of the member; > > > ##### “(B) > > the date the court-martial sentence is adjudged if the sentence, as adjudged, includes a dismissal, dishonorable discharge, bad conduct discharge, or forfeiture of all pay and allowances; or > > > ##### “(C) > > the date the member’s term of service expires.” > .
