## SEC. 533 STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR CERTAIN OFFENSES ###
(a)In General Section 843 of title 10, United States Code (article 43 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice), is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (a), by inserting “maiming of a child, kidnapping of a child,” after “sexual assault of a child,”; and ####
(2)in subsection (b)(2)(B)— #####
(A)by striking clauses
(ii)and (iv); and #####
(B)by redesignating clause
(iii)as clause (ii). ###
(b)Effective Date **[**[10 U.S.C. 843 note](/us/usc/t10/s843)**]** The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply with respect to the prosecution of offenses committed before, on, or after the date of the enactment of this Act if the applicable limitation period has not yet expired.
