## SEC. 1668 ELIMINATION OF CONVENTIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR LONG-RANGE STANDOFF WEAPON Subsection
(a)of section 217 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 (Public Law 113-66; 127 Stat. 706), as amended by section 1662 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 (Public Law 115-232; 132 Stat. 2152), is amended to read as follows: > > ### “(a) Long-range Standoff Weapon > > The Secretary of the Air Force shall develop a follow-on air-launched cruise missile to the AGM-86 that— > > > #### “(1) > > achieves initial operating capability for nuclear missions prior to the retirement of the nuclear-armed AGM-86; and > > > #### “(2) > > is capable of internal carriage and employment for nuclear missions on the next-generation long-range strike bomber.” > .
