## SEC. 1212 EXTENSION AND MODIFICATION OF AUTHORITY TO ACQUIRE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PRODUCED IN COUNTRIES ALONG A MAJOR ROUTE OF SUPPLY TO AFGHANISTAN ###

(a)Termination of Authority Subsection

(f)of section 801 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 (Public Law 111-84; 123 Stat. 2399) is amended by striking “December 31, 2019” and inserting “December 31, 2021”. ###

(b)Report on Authority Such section, as so amended, is further amended by adding at the end the following: > > ### “(g) Report on Authority > > > #### “(1) In general > > Not later than March 1, 2020, and March 1, 2021, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on the use of the authority provided in subsection (a). The report shall address, at a minimum, the following: > > > ##### “(A) > > The number of determinations made by the Secretary pursuant to subsection (b). > > > ##### “(B) > > A description of the products and services acquired using the authority. > > > ##### “(C) > > The extent to which the use of the authority has met the objectives of subparagraph (A), (B), or

(C)of subsection (b)(2). > > > ##### “(D) > > A list of the countries providing products or services as a result of a determination made pursuant to subsection (b). > > > #### “(2) Appropriate congressional committees defined > > For purposes of this subsection, the term ‘appropriate congressional committees’ means— > > > ##### “(A) > > the congressional defense committees; and > > > ##### “(B) > > the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate.” > .
