## SEC. 14002 ###
(a)Section 404 of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 (42 U.S.C. 6239 note) is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (e), by striking “2020” and inserting “2022”; and ####
(2)in subsection (g), by striking “2020” and inserting “2022”. ###
(b)**[**[42 U.S.C. 6241 note](/us/usc/t42/s6241)**]** Title III of division C of the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (Public Law 116-94)is amended in the matter under the heading “Department of Energy—Energy Programs—Strategic Petroleum Reserve” by striking the three provisos before the final period and inserting the following:"“ * Provided*, That, as authorized by section 404 of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 (Public Law 114-74; 42 U.S.C. 6239 note), the Secretary of Energy shall draw down and sell not to exceed a total of $450,000,000 of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in fiscal year 2020, fiscal year 2021, or fiscal year 2022: * Provided further*, That the proceeds from such drawdown and sale shall be deposited into the ‘Energy Security and Infrastructure Modernization Fund’ during the fiscal year in which the sale occurs and shall be made available in such fiscal year, to remain available until expended, for necessary expenses to carry out the Life Extension II project for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve”". ###
(c)The amount provided by this section is designated by the Congress as being for an emergency requirement pursuant to section 251(b)(2)(A)(i) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985.
