## SEC. 3 FINDINGS **[**[22 U.S.C. 2151 note](/us/usc/t22/s2151)**]** Section 4(a) of the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act of 2001is amended— ####

(1)in paragraph (1), by striking “costly deployment of troops to the Democratic Republic of the Congo” and inserting “private appropriation of public assets”; and ####

(2)by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(6) > > In October 2016, the Government of Zimbabwe cleared a small hurdle in its longstanding public sector arrears with the IMF.” > .
