## SEC. 3544 TANK VESSELS ###
(a)Tank Vessel Construction Standards Section 3703a of title 46, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (b), by striking paragraph
(3)and redesignating paragraphs (4), (5), and
(6)as paragraphs (3), (4), and (5), respectively; ####
(2)in subsection (c)(2)— #####
(A)by striking “that is delivered” and inserting “that was delivered”; #####
(B)by striking “that qualifies” and inserting “that qualified”; and #####
(C)by striking “after January 1, 2015,”; ####
(3)in subsection (c)(3)— #####
(A)by striking “that is delivered” and inserting “that was delivered”; and #####
(B)by striking “that qualifies” and inserting “that qualified”; ####
(4)by striking subsection (c)(3)(A) and inserting the following: > > ##### “(A) > > in the case of a vessel of at least 5,000 gross tons but less than 15,000 gross tons as measured under section 14502, or an alternate tonnage measured under section 14302 as prescribed by the Secretary under section 14104, if the vessel is 25 years old or older and has a single hull, or is 30 years old or older and has a double bottom or double sides;” > ; ####
(5)by striking subsection (c)(3)(B) and inserting the following: > > ##### “(B) > > in the case of a vessel of at least 15,000 gross tons but less than 30,000 gross tons as measured under section 14502, or an alternate tonnage measured under section 14302 as prescribed by the Secretary under section 14104, if the vessel is 25 years old or older and has a single hull, or is 30 years old or older and has a double bottom or double sides; and” > ; ####
(6)by striking subsection (c)(3)(C) and inserting the following: > > ##### “(C) > > in the case of a vessel of at least 30,000 gross tons as measured under section 14502, or an alternate tonnage measured under section 14302 as prescribed by the Secretary under section 14104, if the vessel is 23 years old or older and has a single hull, or is 28 years old or older and has a double bottom or double sides.” > ; and ####

(b)Crude Oil Tanker Minimum Standards Section 3705 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— ####

(B)by striking “(1)”; and #####
(C)by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)as paragraphs
(1)and (2), respectively; and ####
(2)in subsection (c), by striking “before January 2, 1986, or the date on which the tanker reaches 15 years of age, whichever is later”. ###
(c)Product Carrier Minimum Standards Section 3706(d) of title 46, United States Code, is amended by striking “before January 2, 1986, or the date on which it reaches 15 years of age, whichever is later”. ###
(d)Definition Section 1001(32)(A) of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (33 U.S.C. 2701(32)(A)) is amended by striking “(other 132 STAT. 2326 than a vessel described in section 3703a(b)(3) of title 46, United States Code)”.
