## SEC. 1680 MODIFICATION OF REQUIREMENT TO DEVELOP A SPACE-BASED BALLISTIC MISSILE INTERCEPT LAYER ###
(a)Dissociation With Ballistic Missile Defense Review Subsection
(a)of section 1688 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 (Public Law 115-91; 10 U.S.C. 2431 note) is amended, in the matter before paragraph (1), by striking “If consistent” and all that follows through “the Director” and inserting “Subject to the availability of appropriations, the Director”. ###
(b)Conforming Amendment Subsection
(b)of such section is amended, in the matter before paragraph (1), by striking “If the Director carries out subsection (a), not later” and inserting “Not later”.
