## SEC. 1328 FEDERAL ASSISTANCE ###
(a)In General In accordance with the requirements of subsection (b), the Secretary is authorized to provide assistance for the operation and maintenance of a flood risk reduction project in the Red River Basin of the North that was constructed, prior to the date of enactment of this Act, under section 5(a) of the Act of August 18, 1941 (33 U.S.C. 701n(a)). ###
(b)Condition The Secretary may provide the assistance authorized by subsection
(a)for a project that, as determined by the Secretary, becomes permanent due to the extended presence of assistance from the Secretary under section 5(a) of the Act of August 18, 1941 (33 U.S.C. 701n(a)). ###
(c)Termination The authority to provide assistance under this section terminates on the date that is 8 years after the date of enactment of this section.
