## SEC. 1104 PAYMENT ACRES Section 1114 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (7 U.S.C. 9014) is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (d)— #####
(A)in paragraph (1), by inserting “, unless the sum of the base acres on the farm, when combined with the base acres of other farms in which the producer has an interest, is more than 10 acres” before the period at the end; and #####
(B)in paragraph (2)— ######
(i)in subparagraph (A), by striking “or” at the end; ######
(ii)in subparagraph (B), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and ######
(iii)by adding at the end the following: > > ##### “(C) > > a beginning farmer or rancher (as defined in subsection
(a)of section 2501 of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act of 1990 (7 U.S.C. 2279)); or > > > ##### “(D) > > a veteran farmer or rancher (as defined in subsection
(a)of section 2501 of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act of 1990 (7 U.S.C. 2279)).” > ; and ####
(2)in subsection (e), by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(5) Effect of reduction > > For each crop year for which fruits, vegetables (other than mung beans and pulse crops), or wild rice are planted to base acres on a farm for which a reduction in payment acres is made under this subsection, the Secretary shall consider such base acres to be planted, or prevented from being planted, to a covered commodity for purposes of any adjustment or reduction of base acres for the farm under section 1112.” > .
